We are thrilled to welcome Emily Taylor to the Handmade Collective - a self-taught artist, fabric designer, and quilter whose work sits at the intersection of fine art and fabric in the most beautiful way.

Who Is Emily Taylor?

Emily has spent more than 20 years as a creative entrepreneur - working across both the home décor and quilt industries, building a body of work that is as varied as it is impressive.

She’s been featured on QVC. She’s won multiple awards for her murals. She’s designed over a dozen fabric collections for Riley Blake Designs. She created PatternJam.com, a free online quilt design tool used by thousands of quilters worldwide. And she’s the author of Collage Quilter: Essentials for Success with Collage Quilts.

Emily got her start in the quilt industry in 2009, and she hasn’t slowed down since. Today she teaches workshops and sells her unique patterns to makers around the world.

When she’s not creating in her studio overlooking the Wasatch Mountains, you’ll find her skiing, mountain biking, or hiking with her husband and three children near their home in Sandy, Utah.

She brings that same boldness - adventurous, expressive, all-in - to everything she makes.

What Are Collage Quilts?
