Our Story
Est. 2011
CutterPillar began in 2011 with a simple idea:
Creative tools should make the work easier—not become another thing you have to fight.
The first CutterPillar Pro grew from printing-industry experience and a desire to create a better cutting tool. From there, CutterPillar began taking its products directly to makers at expos and trade shows.
But demonstrating the products was only part of it.
Those events gave the team something even more valuable—the opportunity to listen.
Creators showed us how they worked, what frustrated them, what they loved, and what they wished their tools could do better.
That connection helped shape what CutterPillar became.
As more quilters, sewists, and crafters discovered the brand, CutterPillar expanded beyond paper crafting into illuminated work surfaces, lighting, cutting mats, accessories, and portable workspace solutions designed to make creating easier.
In 2017, Melodee Cloud joined the team and helped expand CutterPillar's Utah operations and trade-show presence.
In 2023, Brett and Todd Lamoreaux became owners of CutterPillar and invested in expanding the company's reach, digital presence, and next stage of growth.
Today, CutterPillar continues to build on the same principle that helped the company grow in the first place:

That means helping you see the line more clearly.
Making the workspace easier to use.
Helping tools work better together.
Making it easier to take your setup to a class or retreat.
