SMALL PROJECTS, BIG SATISFACTION!

August is all about creating something small that brings big satisfaction. Choose any small quilted project, from a mug rug or mini quilt to a pouch, table runner, or handmade gift.

This month is your chance to use favorite scraps, try a new technique, and enjoy the satisfaction of finishing a project without a huge commitment.

Mug Rugs & Coaster Sets

A mug rug is the perfect August starter project — small enough to finish in an afternoon, but big enough to show off your favorite block or fabric combo. Make a set of four for yourself or bundle them up as a thoughtful handmade gift. This is a great excuse to finally try that block pattern you've been bookmarking all year.

Mini Wall Hanging 

A mini wall hanging or slim table runner lets you experiment with free motion quilting, appliqué, or bold color combinations without the long-term commitment of a full quilt. These smaller canvases are ideal for playing with new rulers, templates, or foundation paper piecing.

Scrappy Zipper Pouches

Dig into those scrap bins and jelly roll leftovers — this is their moment. Scrappy pouches and tote bags are endlessly practical, completely unique, and a satisfying way to bust your stash before fall fabric collections start calling your name. Sew a few as back-to-school gifts, or keep them all for yourself. We won't judge.
