Meet Allison Kelley, textile expert, product innovator, and the creative force behind Sewing by Sarah. After two decades designing for top-tier brands like Athleta, Banana Republic, and Skims, Allison traded the fashion floor for the quilting studio.

With a degree in textiles and a lifelong love of quilting, Allison brings both technical know-how and real creative curiosity to her work. Over the past few years, she’s developed a growing line of original products, including the Spiro-Quilt set, Wool Press ’n Lock tiles, Gruuvy Let’s Jam rulers, and the fan-favorite Perfect Binding tool.

Inside the Session: Let’s Talk Tools + Collage Quilting

In her 30-minute session, Allison will spend the first half introducing some of her most-loved tools, including Alpha Clips, Wash-Away Hand Sewing Panels, and her unique binding tools. She’ll be also showing how they fit into her everyday sewing flow.

Then, she’ll dive into a hands-on mini project featuring her Wool Press ‘n Lock tiles, using them to create a vibrant collage quilt butterfly. This relaxed, freeform style of quilting is perfect for anyone looking to add a little creativity and play to their sewing routine.
